Description
Geotechnical laboratory tests consists of number of tests for the properties of soil and are performed to find out the suitability of soil for the construction projects. Concrete Technology provides facilities to conduct the quality control tests on cement, aggregates and concrete (Fresh and hardened). Students learn the standard procedure to test the quality of building materials in line with the corresponding IS codes. Third year students projects are performed.Testing & Consultancy services.

The Strength of Materials lab is used to demonstrate the basic principles in the area of strength and mechanics of materials and structural analysis to the students through a series of experiments in Subjects Strength of materials (22306) and Mechanics of Structures (22303)

Description
"The applied mechanics laboratory is used for teaching practicals of Applied mechanics subject (22203). The experimental apparatus are used to take practical readings and compare results against that of accepted theory, developing and enhancing their knowledge of important scientific concepts. The lab is equipped to perform a diverse range of experiments including Simple lifting machines, Force table, Pulley blocks, Friction apparatus, etc so related experiments can also be conducted. These are very useful for the understanding of mechanism of machines and uses."
